Water Tank Insulation Dubai

Jackets, covers and pipe wraps that stop the temperature swing — and protect the shell that holds your water.

Water That Stays Cool & Clean

Rooftop tanks lose energy and sweat condensation when left exposed — insulation jackets and protection keep water temperature, quality and tank life in check.

Boring, Actual Savings

Tank insulation is not glamour work — it is one hour of survey and one jacket, and then a decade of stable water temperature.

Roof water tanks in the UAE run hot in the day (users scald or boil water anyway); cool overnight (they rewarm with electric boosters). Both halves are paid for twice. A properly built jacket stops the shell doing the weather\'s bidding: incoming main is cooler midday, warmer mornings, and the booster heaters cycle less. Production facilities like it because product processes need predictable water temps at start-of-shift.

We combine the jacket with the shell detail checks that other suppliers ignore: the tank's base slab junction, pipe penetrations and overflow points — because a wet (and later cracked) slab under a jacket is how a small insulation job becomes a bigger waterproofing job in two seasons.

What Is Included In Tank Insulation

  • Survey + temp check — tank size, shell condition, water temperature profile noted at survey.
  • Shell prep — surface cleaned; external corrosion treated before jacketing.
  • Jacket build — insulation core + cladding, closed seams, wind-fastened on exposed roofs.
  • Cover remake — access cover insulated and re-hinged for maintenance entry.
  • Pipe wraps — first accessible pipe section per tank jacketed for continuity.
  • Warranty file — datasheets and as-built photos handed over; 5-year workmanship warranty.

Tank Insulation FAQs

It is about stability, not "hot" vs "cold": water stored in an uninsulated roof tank swings between scalding in the afternoon and bothersome warm at night — wasted energy at both ends. Insulation damps the swing, so boosters and heaters work less, morning water is comfortable and the tank shell avoids constant thermal expansion.

A weather-resistant outer skin (aluminium or GI cladding typically) over an insulation core (PU foam slab/fire-rated rockwool or roll), closed at seams and finished with an insulated access cover. Roof pipes feeding the tank are jacketed for the first accessible branch, too.

Yes — that is the usual case. The tank is drained/low-empty during works, the outer shell is cleaned and corrosion is treated where present, the jacket is built in sections, and the cover is remade to open for maintenance access.

It slows the external corrosion that tanks suffer on roofs (sun + moisture cycling), but if rust is inside the tank, that is a cleaning/linings question, not an insulation one. Survey tells you which type you have; sloppy proposals often confuse the two.

A 5-year workmanship warranty is issued with the jacket; the outer cladding generally outlasts that unless physically damaged. Seals get checked during the annual maintenance visit.

Frequently, yes — leaks around tank bases and their pipe penetrations are a recurring villa/industrial problem. Base slab and pipe entry details get EPDM treatment under the same waterproofing approach as terrace waterproofing.
